I'm the Mom of a 12 year old boy who has had mental and emotional

difficulties all of his life.  He has done equine therapy.  It's a wonderful

relationship - animals and humans with special needs.  We also have

a rescue dog who is highly intuitive and patient - a great therapy dog.

My son has progressed to the point where he's going to take some private

riding lessons (he doesn't do very well in group situations).  We'll continue

until the money runs out, but he'll always have the wonderful memories.

Emmanuel Brandeis, MD, Medical Director, is a Board Certified Gynecologist and is on the staff of the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Brandeis began his private practice in gynecology in the Beverly Hills area in 1989 offering surgical abortions in addition to other gynecological services. I am a mom of 3 wonderful children ........One of which left to be with god May 8th 2009. He suffered with depression and addiction. Trying to self medicate his depression even with help from family, friends, dr's, and church. I think depression is one of the most mis understood diseases out there. That's right I said Disease. It is a horrible disease that affects so many but people make you feel less than or weak if you have it. I have so much to say but not enough time in the day to express it.
